What is an RP?
A Registered Parliamentarian (RP) demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of parliamentary procedure incuding Motions and related procedures, Meetings, Officers, Boards, Committees, Voting and Elections, and Rules of the Assembly. To achieve the RP status, an individual must obtain a minimum 80% on part 1 and minimum 85% on parts 2-5 on a 5 part RP Exam. Familiarity with Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised enables the RP to effectively provide services and workshops on parliamentary procedure.
